Terms of Sale

Last updated: August 2026

These terms cover tickets bought on this website for Stupid Shoes. Buying a ticket means agreeing to them.

They are written to be read, not to be survived. If anything here is unclear, email us before you buy and we will answer plainly.

What you are buying

You are buying access to watch a documentary online for a limited period. Nothing is posted to you, and you are not buying a copy of the film or any right to it.

There are two things on sale:

  • A premiere livestream ticket. The film plays at a set time, followed by a live discussion with the director and guests. The same ticket then lets you watch the recording for roughly 24 hours from the start time, after which it stops working.
  • An on-demand ticket. Watch the film whenever you like between 11 September and 31 October 2026.

These are separate tickets. A livestream ticket does not include on-demand access after its replay window closes — but see Refunds and transfers, because we will move you across rather than leave you with nothing.

What you pay

Tickets are pay-what-you-can, above a minimum of 6.47 in the currency you select at checkout (euros, US dollars, pounds sterling or Swiss francs). You choose the amount and that is the amount charged — there are no booking fees added afterwards.

Hosted events are priced separately: one payment for the whole room, which you set yourself above a minimum of 35 in the currency you select. Optional extras are shown with their price before you pay, and anything that has to be agreed with us first is never charged until it is agreed.

The amount you choose is inclusive of any tax that applies. Nothing is added on top.

Your bank may apply its own currency conversion or card fees if your account is in a different currency. That is between you and your bank; we never see it.

On your statement the charge appears as STUPID SHOES.

How you get your ticket

Immediately after payment you will see a confirmation on screen, and an email follows within a few minutes.

Your ticket is tied to the exact email address you enter at checkout. The first time you sign in to watch, you will be asked to choose a password. That is normal and it is how you get back in on another device.

If the email has not arrived within an hour, check your spam folder and then email us. Your payment is recorded on our side whether or not the email reached you, so nothing is lost.

What you need to watch it

An internet connection good enough for video, and a reasonably current browser. The film is streamed — it cannot be downloaded.

We cannot control your connection, your device or your network, and a problem at your end is not something we can fix. We can, and will, help with anything at ours.

Refunds and transfers

Because access is delivered straight away, tickets are not refundable.

But you will not lose your money. If you miss the livestream and its replay window, email us and we will move your ticket to the on-demand film instead. Same for a ticket bought for the wrong time zone. Just tell us what happened.

If we cancel a screening, or a fault at our end stops you watching altogether, you get a full refund. Refunds go back to the card or account you paid with, and usually take five to ten days to appear.

Please email us before disputing a charge with your bank. A dispute takes weeks and costs us a fee; an email usually takes an hour.

Your right to change your mind

Consumer law in some countries gives a 14-day right of withdrawal for things bought online. It generally does not apply to live events on a fixed date, nor to digital content you have started watching.

Where the right does apply to you, it survives anything written here: these terms do not remove rights the law gives you. In practice our transfer policy above is more generous than the legal minimum in most cases, so ask us first.

What you may not do

Your ticket is for you and the people watching with you. Please do not record, screen-capture, re-broadcast, or publicly show the film, and please do not share your login.

This is not boilerplate. It is an independent documentary with no distributor behind it, and ticket sales are how it gets paid for. If you want to show it to a room of people, we would love that — host a screening instead.

If something changes

Screening times and guests can change. We will email everyone holding a ticket if they do.

If a livestream cannot go ahead at all, you can take the on-demand film instead or have your money back — your choice.

Limits

If something goes wrong on our side, what we owe you is limited to what you paid for the ticket. We are not liable for indirect losses.

Nothing here limits liability for death, personal injury, fraud, or anything else the law does not allow to be limited.

The film is a documentary. It is not medical advice, and nothing in it should be taken as a diagnosis or a treatment plan for you personally. Talk to a clinician about your own feet.

Your data

What we collect and why is set out in our Privacy Policy. In short: your name and email to issue your ticket, and marketing email only if you ticked the box.

Law

These terms are governed by Swiss law, and disputes belong to the courts of Switzerland. If you are a consumer elsewhere, this does not take away the protection of the mandatory law of the country you live in.

Changes to these terms

We may update this page. The terms that apply to your ticket are the ones published on the day you bought it.
